Lindsay Najor, Psy.D., LLP

Dr. Lindsay Najor is a recent graduate of The Michigan School of Professional Psychology and completed her internship at Dennis & Moye & Associates. She is currently supervised by Amy Baker Dennis, Ph.D. and Ann Moye Ph.D.

Lindsay is highly skilled in the treatment of substance abuse and addiction. Over the past 6 years, she has administered numerous drug assessments, reinstatement of licensing assessments, provided individual treatment and worked with parents and families that are affected by their loved one’s substance abuse. Additionally, she treats both adolescents and adults with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and eating disorders.

Lindsay is a certified provider of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamically trained in the treatment of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). She will finish an 8-month training class on the treatment of eating disorders this spring. She is also currently co-facilitating an adolescent therapy group for teens with self-esteem issues.

Lindsay provides experienced and compassionate support and solutions. She goes above and beyond to help her clients obtain and maintain sobriety, find meaning surrounding their addiction, and helps to free them from guilt and anxiety.  She focuses on helping them identify environmental triggers and explore the issues that underlie their behaviors, while providing skills training and coping strategies.

Lindsay strives to help clients uncover their true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve current challenges. Lindsay has a good understanding that outside influences can create challenges and make the client feel overwhelmed.  It is not easy to step out of your comfort zone and seek help, but she provides a safe environment where they will be able to freely express their feelings without judgment. Lindsay is humanistically oriented and attempts to make sure her clients feel supported and comfortable when they work together.
