Rachel Hagerty, M.A., LLP
Rachel Hagerty is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Rachel has her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on children, from the University of Detroit Mercy; this also includes a specialty for psychological assessments. She enjoys working with a variety of clients including working individually with adolescents and adults with specialized interest in adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, relationship difficulties, ADHD (i.e. screening and coping skills), family difficulties (i.e. parenting skills, behavioral modification, and communication), self-esteem and assertiveness, and work or school related issues.
She has a specific interest in adolescent and young adult females struggling with depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and life transitions.
Rachel’s approach to therapy is always tailored to fit the individual's needs. Whether that be in an individual or family setting using a variety of therapeutic techniques that provide for a support and insightful experience, including Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Person and Solution-Focused Therapy and completed an 8-month extensive training on Eating Disorders (spring 2017).
Her therapeutic techniques aid in providing a supportive and insightful experience. No matter what you may be struggling with -- anxiety, feelings of depression, difficulties with adjustment to new life situations (i.e. end of a relationship, marriage, birth of a baby, or starting a new educational journey), or an extra support system in your life, you don't have to do it alone. On your journey Rachel can help you to improve coping skills, increase your self-worth, and achieve personal growth. The ultimate goal of Rachel’s practice is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to achieve your own therapeutic goals.
